South Shields gets a visit from Vesalius
No it is not a Roman god, or a Greek super hero, it is the latest visitor to South Shields come to help with the new Tyne Tunnel construction.

Vesalius is a massive dredger and starts it’s job this weekend to carve a channel out of the river bed.
The new tunnel will then be laid in that channel in sections which have already been prepared.
They expect to start laying the section early 2010.
